Well fall 2009 has been a success so far. Feeling better, doing fun things, eating good food (which if you have seen me lately is obvious), and enjoying the weather. I have been working a lot lately so I took the day off and Landon and I went up to visit my grandma and go to Apple hill. Below are some pictures from the day. I am getting bigger by the day, by the end of this pregnancy i will probably be twice the size I was with Landon which I thought was impossible. The baby seems to be doing well it is defiantly different carrying a girl! I will be posting lots of pictures of things other then me for the next 4 months.

Okay so I know it has been forever and I am sure no one reads this anymore but if you do you probably already know that I am pregnant and have spent the last 3 months on the couch as the picture below demonstrates how our fourth of July went. I have been soooo sick. The last couple weeks I have been feeling better but boy was it a long three months. I am due February 14th and we are having a girl. I am nervous, overwhelmed, and still trying to get used to the idea of having a girl. I think I have said it like a million times in my head trying to make myself believe it. I always pictured myself as a boys mom I don't even know if I will know what to do with a girl. I am so grateful that she is healthy though and everything looks great. Bring it on pink, bows, dresses, dolls, here we go!

Puerto Villarta Mexico

Sorry it has taken me so long to post I have been gone for the last month on various trips. So back to Mexico it was..........Well it was Mexico I guess. Puerto Villarta is great if it is you and your significant other on a romantic get away I don't really suggest going with a two year old who had pneumonia the week before and got it again on the trip. But on the positive side the resort was beautiful, one of the nicest places I have ever stayed, The Grand Mayan I highly recommend it. We did find some really cool little beaches and places that we would like to go back to. Wes surfed, I layed out Landon on his good days played at the beach. So all in all lots of Mexican food, sun, and dirtiness, Mexico in a nut shell.

Memorial Day weekend 2007

For memorial day this year we decided to go camping with some family and friends. We may sound crazy and when the trip began I really thought we were crazy. But after we got to our destination which was Patricks Point I was so glad we had taken the 7 hour drive to get there. It was one of the most beautiful places I have been. It really must be beautiful if even though it was 40 degrees the entire day and people were sick I still had a great time. I highly recommend camping there if you have never been. For those of you who don't know where P.P is it is about 20 miles outside of Eureka, CA in Humboldt County. We went on some great hikes (fern Canyon is a must) Saw some Elk, had great Smores and more. Most of all I was just really grateful that it was a success with Landon. More camping trips to come.

When I think about the Last two years of my life since I have had Landon Keahi and all I can say is holy moly what hard work having him has been! But when I look at my beautiful boy and I see the utter joy and excitement that he has for life I am inspired, and I become a believer. He makes my life worth while, He makes me really truly believe in life, he has made me not only a better mother but a better person. It is always the things that you work the hardest for that you love the most. Here are some pics from Easter. It was a good Easter i guess you could say. I only lost my mind once. I have never felt like I really wanted to through my child out the window, I mean I have come close to feeling like I would either throw him out the window or through myself out the window but this last Easter Sunday I really wanted to do either one of those things. I had no idea I could get that angry I lost it. shut up was said, hand over the mouth as my child bit me. Yea it was memorable. after that episode. The rest of the day went pretty smoothly. Utah Day #2

So Landon and I went to Utah in January to see my mom and sisters. It was a great snow filled trip. With lots of Cafe Rio, a trip to chucky cheese, and snow shovelling with Grandma. I was really nervous about the flight with Landon but he did great and said airpane for days.

So I guess I will start with My birthday I had a great birthday this year my friend Julie Pictures below set up a dinner with some friends they took me to Chicago Fire I highly recommend it. We then went to Red Hawk Casino and walked around I have to admit i played some slots. I had a really great time. Wes made me a cake himself wich was very thoughtful and had Aaron and Emily over it was great.

We always go the day thanksgiving to cut down our Christmas tree we go to the same place every year and get five dollars off because we are such loyal customers. Landon really enjoyed the tree cutting extravaganza this year as well as the decorating. He would get one glass ornament at a time put it in his tiny little hand squeeze and watch it shatter. This has been his favorite part of Christmas so far. Next year we will child proof our tree. I have really loved this holiday season, holidays are much more fun with kids.

Last week I was asked by the manager at the apartment complex were we live if i wanted a cat. I said no due the fact that i really don't like cats. I think of cats and i think cat hair, cat poop, litter boxes and hair balls all of which are disgusting and vile things. But later in the week i saw them carrying this cat out to the car and asked if they had found the cat a home. They said no they were going to take him to the SPCA. The cat had been abandoned in an apartment by his family. So i took the cat so that i could find it a proper home. Little did i know that this is the coolest cat ever. Landon rides him like a horse and pulls his tail and all he dose is meow. He sleeps on the foot of our bed like he has lived here his whole life. He can open cupboards climb inside and close the door and last but not least, HE CAN PEE IN THE TOILET NO JOKE WE SAW IT! I think this kitty may be a keeper.

Jason Mraz concert

For one of my best friend Nicole's birthday I bought us concert tickets to see Jason Mraz at the Greek theater in Berkly and it was awesome i definitely left a bigger fan them when I arrived and that is saying a lot. It was a beautiful nigh the weather despite the rain the day before was perfect! He is an incredible musician and entertainer. I am so glad i got to go to such a great event and even more grateful for my friend Nicole she is one of the greatest women i have ever known!!

I have to say i am very pleased with how Halloween went this year. I didn't think Landon would enjoy it all that much and i am proud to say I was wrong. He loved it! We had a really great time in Manteca with everyone. Halloween is way better with kids!

We also carved pumkins with Aaron and emily the day before halloween we were very pleased with how they turned out and had a great time.

Evenings of insanity

Every day around 5:30 I start to lose it, Well let me rephrase Landon and I start to lose it. The day is coming to an end and so is my well behaved child. I have been working in the evenings a few days a week and naps seem to be a thing of the past since we are on a new schedule with me leaving in the afternoon. So by 5:30 this is what we look like....

I would sell my soul to be skinny!

So my wight has been my biggest struggle my whole life. I'm skinny, I'm fat, skinny, fat, skinny, fat. Get pregnant get really FAT! I am not talking 20 pounds overweight i am talking i gained 75 pounds that is like two 5 year old boys. Anyway I have recently been working out with a trainer and dieting (sort of). I have actually seen results, for the first time in my life i think i have hope to look the way i want to look. I have lost 9 pounds in a month and 3% body fat. if i lose 10 more pounds i will be pre- Landon weight. Hurray, hurray, you say but little do you know that this has been this way it is my whole life get skinny then get fat again. So i have decided no more babies until i look like this........

Yes it is true no more bundles of joy until this happens, and it will happen. I think that i would sell my soul to look like this. Even if I have to get surgery in the end it will happen. So I leave you with a picture of me now but check back in May 2009 and you will see hopefully something close to the picture above.

P.S. I know this picture sucks but it is all I have.

It was his birthday recently and the whole family came up to Roseville and we spent the day together. I made brunch then we went shopping and the girls got pedicures. 4-Year Anniversary

Will Landon ever figure it out?

I am sure many of you moms have one of these toys. You push the big red button at the top and air pushes up through the tube. The idea is to put small plastic balls into the conveyer, watch them travel down into the tube, and fly back through the top as the air pushes them up. My son, however, has no concept of this. Instead, as you can see, he shoves blocks, cars, and any other toys that will fit down the tube plugging up the whole system. Once the tube is backed up, the toy makes a horrendously loud buzzing sound which scares the crap out of Landon. He runs away and the toy is left battered and broken.

This is one of my favorite things in the world. Landon sitting still. He and his daddy are having a nice time watching the Giants lose, again.

Loon Lake

As most of you know Wes calls me Loon, or Loony, or Luno, and most often the Loony Lou so when we ended up camping at Loon lake it was very fitting. We went up with our friends the Davidson's to camp at Ice house but after going through 500 camp sites and 4 and half hours of driving we ended up at Loon lake and pulling over on the side of the road hiking back and camping at 11:30 @ night. We set up camp and besides the fact that California is burning so we couldn't start a camp fire we had a great time. We got up @ 4:30 the next morning to fish and I caught my first fish thanks to captain Andy!! we had a great time and decide that Loon lake is our new favorite place to camp and fish. Thanks Andy and Christi for the great weekend.

Sorry that i have not blogged in while as you can tell from my last post life has been crazy. We are settled in now and i have found the time to update you all on the past month. Landon is getting so big and i cant believe how time flys. I am in a much better state of mind now that we are settled and back from vacation. I feel the most peaceful i have felt in a very long time. I hope that means that we are right were the Lord wants us. I believe our luck has changed! While we were in Utah we got to drop my brother off at the MTC. He is serving in Florida for the next two years and i could not be prouder. It was not as sad as i expected i am so grateful that he gets the opportunity to share the Gospel. He going to do amazing things! We will Miss you Dallin!

We went to Utah for 8 days last week. It was a great week. Landon had lots of kids to play with and Wes and had Todd and Lisa to keep us company. Wes got to play lots of basketball and shoot guns. I got to get a massage and eat junk food all week it was great. I love Utah i never thought in a million years I would say that but it is true. There is something so safe about being there. Life seems to move at such a slower pace.

So this fouth of July we were in Utah with the Hendersons. For those of who dont know Todd Henderson is Wes's best friend they are like 5 year old boys when they get togther. We spent the day relaxing and then in the evening we lite fireworks. We had a great time and it was they most realaxing forth of July I have ever had.

Some times life just seems like it is all about luck. Good luck, Bad luck, Carma whatever it is we seem to be having our share of trials. I feel sometimes as though it is the storm before the rainbow. My life has seemed to work like that. We had to move last week. We got a weeks notice that we had to be out of our house it is a long story. Our truck got hit by a drunk driver on fathers day (8 thousand dollars worth of damage) Wes an I both lost our phones, Wes got two flat tires, Landon's cutting teeth, and I have no TV until July 7th. We are living in Roseville now in a three bedroom apt. for free. You think i would be ecstatic, and I am really happy but I am also really sick of change. Life is about change they say and I know that but I just need to be for a little while to breath if you will. I have a good feeling about being here though i am sad about leaving all my friends that were so close. If it were not for Aaron and Emily I would be going insane, it is so nice to be close to them. Well I better make the most of it, hopefully I will be here longer then 6 months.

Dallins Blessing Sunday

Dallin got the Pristhood on Sunday. Wes was able to give it to him and it was a very big day for my family. Dallin leaves July 2nd for Florida for his mission we will miss him so much.

This Saturday was a big day for the Carters as we did the Temple work for Grampa Gus who passed away a year ago in april. The who family was there and it was a great day. Hillary got stuck with Landon for a few hours wich I am so glade she was there to help. The day was so beautiful you could see the bay so clearly.

Landon Turned one this weekend on the 11th. We celebrated on the Saturday with a big birthday party. I always get nervous before throwing a party especially when there is 40-45 people coming. After being worried for the entire week before the party turned out great. We swam, had good food, a pinata and everyone mingled and got along great. I feel so blessed to have so many great friends and family that came out to celibrate our little man turning one!

The weather here has been so beautiful latley it has inspired us to begin to use our pool. Last Sunday we took Landon out to test the waters. Landon Loves the pool and he loves water but hates his swimming lessons wich he started 2 weeks ago (pictures to come). We had a great day and I have been laying out all week! I do love california in the spring, actually I love california all of the time we do have the best weather.

Ashlan turned 15 !!!!

Last Friday was my sister Ashlans 15th birthday. Dallin had just got home for the summer to prepare for his mission. He leaves July 2nd and is serving in Tallahassee Florida. It was a fun night we had pizza and cake, we discussed American idol and volleyball all our normal topics. It was really nice to be together with every one and celebrate Ashlan being one year older.

Last week Landon and I went up to Nana's house for the night. I had a late practice and so Great grama was going to watch him while he slept but that didn't go so well so Landon and great Grama came to practice with me. It worked out just fine because he LOVED sitting in the ball cart. He watched practice in there while Grama pushed him around. Here are some pics.

The next day we hung out and Landon had tones of room to play. Her house is 3700 square feet and ours is 1,000. Landon Loves Toby, and discovered that he could crawl up stairs.

Vomit, Diareaha, and more Vomit......

So I think in the last 2 weeks I have left the house 4 times. Yesterday I changed 15 Diarrhea diapers, I have done 2 lodes of laundry a day washing poopie pants and vomit covered shirts. Today we were in Trader Joe's. This is the first time Landon has left the house besides going to the ER or the doctor in 2 weeks. Ten minutes in to trader Joe's he vomits, and were not talking a little bit of vomit we are talking like 16 ounces, all over me the groceries the floor. In the isle with me was a women with a baby younger then Landon. She looks at me with horror as he vomits like how dare you bring your sick child to the grocery store and quickly left the isle. So I go and clean him up, head to the check out line and as I am walking out to my car holding my kid who is just wearing a diaper, he craps! It comes out of his diaper all over me, Oh and by the way today is the first day that I have actually gotten dressed in 2 weeks. Then when we get home I am bringing in the groceries and the handle on the bag brakes and a can of spaghetti sauce brakes all over my drive way.
Then comes bath time. I take Landon's clothes of right before he gets in, start to carry him to the tub which is like 10 steps away and he pees all over me. I think that I have the most glamorous life in the world, and because I will have more children I am looking at at lest 10 years of life filled with poop and vomit. Sorry about all the disgusting posts but that is my life right now.

What is that smell?

On Thursday of last week we noticed a smell in the bathroom. I thought that Wes had just had done some serious business in there but when the smell was worse in the morning I decided that I should clean the bathroom, dump the trash, so on and so forth it must be something in the bathroom. Friday night it got worse, and we realized that it smelled like a dead animal. Wes went to the store around 11:00 pm to get some Oder eliminator but nothing helped. Over the next few hours the smell seeped through the entire house. At the same time Landon has been sick and has been throwing up, diarrhea. Our house was a stink zone.

Around midnight I began looking up dead animal removers and came across some one who could come out first thing in the morning. So after a horribly stinky night around 10:00 AM DAVY BROTHERS animal removal service showed up. He walked in and said yes it is dead and under your house. He suited up, crawled under the house and this is what he found.

A 15-20 pound dead Possum. Yes folks the biggest possum he had ever seen. He proceeded to tell me that it was "crawling". Whats that I asked? (After looking at the picture you may think dumb question.) "With maggots," he said. Guess I need to work on my dead animal lingo.

We had Easter this year with the carter clan. It was a beautiful day a perfect Easter Sunday. Emily my sister in law and I made dinner it was fantastic, we had ham, potato's, spinach salad, green beans and rolls. Landon hunted for eggs that I filled with fruit and puffs, he was more interested in dandelions then his eggs. All in all I have to say everything turned out great for the first Easter at our home.

Meet Stephanie Landons Babysitter/Girlfriend. I had no idea the intrest in girls started at 10 months. He LOVED her. He was the bigest show off. I have never seen my kid smile so much in his life. Needless to say this made Wes very happy to know he was indeed interested in girls, His worries have been laid to rest!

How Does your Garden Grow?

So all this beautiful weather has inspired me to begin my gardening. I love herb gardens!! I love the idea of cooking with things that I grew. So Landon and I both sick as dogs went out side in the beautiful 70 degree sunshine to plant, Landon in his hat and I in my overalls began our spring garden.

Here is the fruit of our labor. In pots I know but its so much easier that way. Next week its Flowers!

Late valentines day Celebration

I have wanted to go to San Francisco for the last three years and finally my dream came true. Since I was in San Diego for Valentines day Wes Set up a trip to San Francisco for me. We took Bart into the city and the muni took us everywhere else we wanted to go. I lusted after everything the three story Williams and Sonoma had to offer. Wes took me into Tiffany's and said I pick out what ever I wanted, Ya right in our dreams. It was the perfect day.

San Diego

Landon and I went to San Diego for a week to help out my family. I know you may expect sunny pictures of us at the beach but the truth is we stayed inside most the trip. The best thing about the whole thing was that I had a built in babysitter the whole time I was there, a dog named kuku. Landon and Kuku played for hours on end it was great. We need to get him a dog of his own.

When I got back I had never been so happy to see Wes. He is my best friend and the greatest Dad in the world.

Play Day

Last week we went to The Fishers new house to play. Jace and Landon are about 5 weeks apart so it makes it nice for Nicole and I we can visit and our boys can play. The only problem is that Landon attacks Jace, and Jace the lover not the fighter just takes it and smiles.

Then there is Mia. The Naked super hero. I have a special place in my heart for this little two year old!

Landons 1st Snow Day

Landon and I went to visit Nana today and it was snowing! Landon loved the snow. We had a great day up in Placerville with Nana, auntie Rylee, and auntie Ashlan.

LET THE CRAWLING BEGIN!!!!!

So it has finally happened. I never thought I would see the day. Yes Landon is crawling! But only when he really wants something . His preference is still in the arms of anyone who will hold him. I keep trying to explain to him that he has new found freedom but all I get in return is crying. He has that down perfectly. I don't think he understands the magnitude of the ability to get to mom were ever she is whether I like it or not.

After the big event Landon and I celebrated. He played on his back and kicked for a while then he ate a banana, and I had a diet coke. Hurray!!!!

Discovery of the babypack

So on Saturdy we got Landon a baby backpack which he now perfers to travel everywere in. Around the house while mom dose dishes and laundry, on walks, and in the grocery store. I have new found freedom, and a very sore back!

He also took a two hour nap this weekend. He put himslf to sleep while holding his own bottle. which up until this weekend though he was capable of doing he refused to do. We are Making progress.

When will it ever end? I have a myspace, a face book and now a blogg! Well I have to admit that I like all this stuff. Wes gets sick of me always playing around with all my little sites. He makes fun of me, but I know that he secretly loves all this stuff too. So my blogging days begin here we go.
